THE ORATORY SOCIETY was founded by the then Father Pat Buckley in the summer of 1986 at 6 Princes Gardens, Larne (See Contact page)
It was named THE ORATORY as that title was a neutral title in the Northern Ireland that was strictly divided into Catholics and Protestants. From the very beginning The Oratory has welcomed people of all faith and none to its door and services. Also, anyone who approaches the altar is given Holy Communion.
The Oratory Society is registered for civil marriages in Northern Ireland and in the Republic of Ireland and to the time of writing - January 2016 - some 3,000 couples have married through The Ortatory.
